New in...Aquascutum Purse

After working there for almost a year, I thought it was about time I purchased something from Aquascutum, and this little purse is just perfect for my everyday essentials,

Nail Art- Strawberry Nails

After purchasing another of the Barry M Gelly nail polishes in this great green/blue colour, I decided to try my hand at some nail art. I picked up the little strawberries from 'claire's accessories', the pack also contains other cute nail decorations like lemons, apples, flowers etc. I'm not the best at this stuff but these are really quite easy to apply, just use a pair of bog standard tweezers and stick the little strawberry over the top-coat (make sure it's still a little tacky so that it will stick) and then go back over the nail with the clear top-coat. I'll make sure to take pictures of other combinations I'll be testing out soon, I find it's so much easier to sit at the computer and type up an essay if you've got something pretty to look at while you're frantically tapping away at those keys,

Getaway Outfit #4

We spent our last day in Brussels walking around the Grande Place and eating Moules Frites, now its back to the UK and back to reality. I wore my pleather trousers from H&M with a very blogger-typical t-shirt, these slogan tees are everywhere at the moment, topshop started with their 'geek' top and many high street giants have followed in their footsteps, this 'epic' one was purchased from primark for a very reasonable £4.00. I hope you guys have enjoyed seeing what I've been wearing over the past few days, I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Getaway Outfit #3

                                 Jumper- Topshop, Leggings- Primark, Boots- H&M, Coat- Asos


I have finally found the perfect disco pant dupes! I have wasted many a minute in the changing rooms of too many high street giants, Topshop, River Island, Republic to name a few. Thin fabric after thing fabric, every pair came with the dreaded VPL (visible pant line), which in my opinion is never cute! This thin material also creates ugly sagging fabric lines at the back of the legs, which makes them look more like you're wearing leggings one size too big. After many frustrating shopping trips, and a heck of a lot of contemplation about forking out the £70.00 for the original American Apparel disco pants, I was strolling through Primark when I saw these in the corner of my eye. I had my doubts, for £16.00, how good could these actually be, well the answer is, they're the best dupes I've found. They look very similar to the original disco pants, the material is fairly thick, they're tight and very high waisted. I am so glad I didn't spend £70.00 because these were well worth the wait. (I have no idea how they're going to hold up once I've washed them though, the results are yet to be seen).

Today I wore them with this great Topshop jumper which I found in the sale for £15.00, I've seen similar ones on Romwe.com, as well as Ebay, but seeing this hanging on the sale rack, I couldn't resist it! I love this outfit as it's really comfy, I do look a bit like big bird with the coat on though! :)

Getaway outfit #2

Today was sunny, cold, but sunny. This made for some pleasant walks around Brussels, visiting Place Flagey and having frites at the legendary frite flagey (the best chips in Brussels), going back to my old stomping ground and posing outside where we used to live, and finally visiting the museum of comic art and having a beer in legendary bar delirium (I say beer, the boy had a beer, I had a tomato juice...so uncool). I chose to wear this leopard dress picked up in the Urban Outfitters sale, £10.00 down from £55.00, I'm sure you all understand that for that price I just couldn't leave it behind! As for the shaggy coat, it is most definitely not getting left behind at any cost, it's the only thing standing between me and frostbite!!

Getaway outfit #1

It is FREEZING in Brussels so I'm really glad that I brought my shaggy faux fur coat along with me, it keeps me super warm and cosy. It did a good job at counteracting the slits in my jeans which did make my legs rather chilly, I had to wear them though as they're just too amazing! A bargain at £15 in the Urban Ouftitters sale they're slowly becoming one of my favourite pairs of jeans. The jumper was another sale steal, £10 from new look, it's so soft and fluffy, perfect for keeping me warm in these arctic temperatures. Today we had an early dinner at a great Mexican restaurant in the centre of Brussels called chi chi's, I had a great salad and an incredibly tasty strawberry margarita.

What to wear to Uni #2

The Midi dress is a great addition to any girls wardrobe, not too long, not too short, it hits the mark of dressy casual. Best of all, it requires no thought. No morning outfit pairing panic, no famous 'does this top go with these trousers', or 'does this skirt go with these shoes', the midi dress is an outfit all in one. Luckily for us, they're all over the high street, Primark has a huge selection from long sleeved to printed. The one featured here is actually from the brand 'cameo rose' sold at New Look, I know they have another in the same style which is navy and white striped, cute right? So if you're feeling a little nautical that could be the one for you, alternatively the one I'm wearing here definitely makes an impact. The best thing about the Midi is that it can be worn at night just as well as it can in the day, pair with heels and a red lip and this has serious impact for nights out. When attending uni or college comfort is high up on my list of priorities and the Midi definitely ticks that box, so you can be comfy enough to fall asleep in class, while still looking stylish doing it ;)
